Spin Welding Process
Spin welding for thermoplastics
The spin welding process is used to weld circular thermoplastic parts by applying an axiale pressure and rotation to them that generate the heat necessary for their melting. The spin welder drives one part in rotation and keeps the other motionless in its fixture. This assembly process thus ensures a high seal and a very high resistance of the weld. Rotation welding is also suitable for welding very thin workpieces.
The advantages of spin welding:
- Highly repeatable process
- Very easy to automate and integrate into assembly lines
- Reduced cycle times
- Lower equipment costs
We have been designing and manufacturing spin welders for more than 15 years. Our joining machine fits your needs in every aspects as it can be customized and comes with a wide range of options.
